Detours and a bubbly purchase

Plenty of detours last week kept me from writing. Work (fair enough, they pay me), and then the weather — no sympathy from readers in the Northern Hemisphere, but after a long, cool, windy winter, a couple of days of sunshine were enough to lure me away from the laptop.

And then came the lazy spa purchase. When your apartment has no bath and the pool is too cold for half the year, it makes more sense than it sounds. Getting it onto the roof terrace was an adventure — no power where we needed it, and the only water supply meant siphoning from the plunge pool. But all that aggravation melted away on Sunday evening, sitting in warm bubbles with a cold glass in hand. Cheers to winter after all.
